Hi Carrie, Thanks for reaching out! White is more expensive because it requires extra steps during the recycling process to filter out any material that would cause discoloration. We also have to use extra resin to be sure the color is crisp and bright and the cost of resin is tied to the increasing cost of petroleum. As for maintenance, a pressure washer will be your best friend (just be sure not to exceed 1500 psi) according to our customers that have the white furniture. All the best, Candace

What umbrella stand(s) fit in-between the narrow table legs? Looking for one 50lbs or more thank you!

The chairs in this set measure about 22.5" W x 34.75" H x 21.75" D. The seats of the chairs measure about 17" W x 16.5" D. Does the Chippendale dining set do well in winter weather that includes below freezing temps, ice and snow?

Can you compare the chippendale, traditional and lakeside chairs as far as seating position and comfort? I really like the chippendale style but am wondering if the chair won't be as comfortable due to the design on the back of the chair. Thanks for your help!

The chairs are all similar in size with the Lakeside arm and side chairs being about an inch wider than the Chippendale and Traditional Garden, but all their seat heights are 17". The Chippendale and Traditional Garden chairs were designed with a contoured seat for extra comfort and their backs curve slightly for more comfort as well — these chairs are so similar that it really just comes down to which back design you like more. If I upgrade to chippendale garden chairs for all, will two fit on each side and will they slide under the edge of the table?

Upgrading to the Chippendale Garden Chairs for this table will work — the chairs will slide under the table easily and you'll still be able to fit 6 chairs around the Nautical 37" x 72" Dining Table. Since the garden chairs are larger, about 3" more in depth compared to the dining chair, you may not be able to completely push them underneath without hitting the table legs. Kaylan
