"I’ll start by saying I understand that XPO delivery is not the same company as Polywood. I say that because I was reminded 12 times of that fact when I was calling into customer service to ask if they could help me with my delivery issues instead of being helped. My client needed this and other items for an event this weekend. We had a notice weeks ago that our items had reached the hub but when we called to schedule multiple times we were told that wasn’t true. When my client asked to speak with a manager at XPO to have them located, they all of a sudden appeared. Then we were told we had to wait weeks for the white glove delivery -way past the date of the event we needed them for. Again, I understand XPO is not Polywood. When I called into customer service last Monday to ask them to try and help my client by speaking with XPO I was told it’s a busy time of year for XPO and I should be so lucky to have the date I have. The next day I called again and was generously offered a $100 credit toward the order -there was no way I could have my $500 shipping refunded because as part of their trade program I already get a generous discount. I found out later they had already offered that $100 credit to my client and so nothing I was told was actually going to be applied -it had already happened. Just a way to get me off the line. On top of that, I explained how my client felt pigeon holed into choosing white glove since all of the reviews read online say the furniture is extremely difficult to put together and sometimes pieces don’t fit and need replacement. I was told actually that’s not true. I worked as a phone customer service agent in a high end furniture company for years and it was absolutely unheard of to tell anyone “you should be so lucky”. I’ll also say, I understand that XPO is not the same company as Polywood, but I handled many many delivery issues with XPO over the years as a representative of my company, and we always found a solution. No furniture for the event. I wasn’t going to leave a review but since I was prompted, I’ll say I won’t be recommending Polywood to clients in the future. Unfortunately as a designer, I end up representing your company as a designer and this isn’t a good look for me."
