I’d like to purchase one of these to store furniture covers. I want water tight (rain proof), as well as mud daubers proof. Will drains at the bottom allow insects to get in and build nest etc.

The drain holes at the bottom help water escape, but they can also allow small insects, like mud daubers, to get in. In general a full 72" bench cushion will take up most of the length of the storage space. Adding two seat cushions, a chaise cushion, and a throw pillow may be a tight fit all together in one bench—especially if the cushions are thick or firm.
